One thing I've noticed is that when you are taking a lot of shots as a photographer, you end up forgetting all the candid shots that accompany most peoples life. I forget to document normal life. Which is sort of funny because I have always had the idea that I want to do photography that simply captures people as they are in real life. Anyways, I was thinking of this and how much I miss in our real life and am determined to capture more. (on "film"). Nostalgia was my first inspiration for photography, and I don't really want to loose that in my learning process.

We got a fantastic Starbucks espresso making machine for Christmas. One month out and something went wrong. No worries, they will repair or replace it. I went to the website to find out what to do about it and saw this... again with the unlimited budget thing, but I really enjoyed just looking at this one. Its so pretty and shiny!

dream sofa

Here is the sofa that would be mine had I an unlimited budget and some sort of justification for spending much money on a sofa. It is the Jane sofa by Gus... even the name is beautiful. I will settle for a cheap version when I can find one.

weddings

So I am attempting the brave new world (new to me) of wedding photography. I agreed to take on a wedding in July, and there is the possibility of another this spring. I have some photos up from my first wedding assistant job, on my photography blog.
