This has become our families favorite personal tradition, and part of what we love about it is the tradition is unique to our nuclear family... we decided next year we are going to start earlier and have a few practice runs as well=)
They are full during... It's a ukrainian tradition using wax-we used crayons=) We have so much fun with it, Beau wants to do it again already and we are reading up on some new techniques for next year=) You don't have to hollow them, we just thought that this year we would, so that we could hang them from a pot of branches to display. When we boiled them they ended up stuck in the fridge for the holidays=) (oh this year we added the "gold dust" which you can find in some coloring kits=)

Those are so neat! What did you use on them (or is it a secret)? Are they empty shells when being decorated or full eggs?

These are beautiful, Gina. I like that you made them hangable. They look so pretty with the ribbon!
